I made my first visit to Dover Sportsbook and casino (Del) last October and bet the W. Series ( from which I made a nice score on my $1200 wager)..Stayed at the Red Roof Inn (least expensive place I could find close by) I played craps maybe 4 to 5 hours in 2 day visit and about broke even, over that time. Left to come home and watch the series play out. Returned later to cash my Series ticket for which Dover Downs Hotel and Casino has ZERO record... (according to what I was told at the Capital Club program . These are where you get your card to show before playing casino games. Long story short, I was mailed a 2 free night hotel room, for which I took advantage...It said restrictions could apply, but I got a Sat and Sun night stay free. Dropped maybe $500 at the craps table, but left on the plus side because of series bet... Again was mailed a free 2 night stay for the next month, plus 4 --match plays of $10 each.. I went and lost in both the casino and in the sportsbook... Came home and again was mailed 2 free nights, no mention of a weekend restriction, so I went on the weekend and lost at the crap table and even worse in the sportsbook... The next mailing I got was for free 2 night stay, BUT ONLY SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHTS... Umm a little strange to me but I went and found out the Hotel and Casino had been bought out by some outfit in Rhode Island (Twin Rivers, I think was the name).. Wm Hill still ran the sportsbook as I asked.
So now that I can no longer get comped on the weekend and the Sports book is still separate (as it was before Twin Rivers came to Delaware), do they cater only to High Rollers in the casino?
